Student Han Yan successfully defended his PhD thesis in June. For his dissertation, “Array Architectures and Physical Layer Design for Millimeter-Wave Communications Beyond 5G”, Han was awarded the Distinguished PhD Dissertation Research Award in Signals & Systems at UCLA ECE.
