NYU to Host 6th Annual Brooklyn 5G Summit

February 23, 2019

The NYU WIRELESS Research Center at NYU Tandon School of Engineering and Nokia will co-organize one of the most pre-eminent conferences on 5G - the Annual Brooklyn 5G Summit - already for the sixth time on April 23-26, 2019 in Brooklyn, NY.

"First Year of the 5G Era" is the special focus of this year's Summit which promotes open conversation on the deployment experiences of 5G networks, and the key issues, including critical spectral and economic factors. Leading experts will highlight the latest innovations in 5G New Radio, Core and IoT technologies, and network slicing. Select industrial and start-up companies will join the event to share the most promising use cases in industrial and infrastructure automation and enhanced consumer experience. Lively panel discussions, exhibits and demonstrations of the most advanced 5G technologies provide unique insights on the state-of-the-art solutions.

Importantly, the Summit also focuses on emerging technologies such as machine learning, Terahertz communication, non-terrestrial networks, ultra-reliable low latency and private networks. The event's co-organizer NYU is a key member in the SRC ComSenTer JUMP program on THz communications, which is expected to be a key part of 6G networks. THz communications will gain plenty of attention at the Summit as several SRC member companies and ComSenTer academic investigators are scheduled to speak at the event.
